DataScan exports all scanned data as CSV files with customizable options for delimiters, line breaks, data formats, time stamps, file encoding, file extensions, and header row labels. These files can be transmitted via FTP or email at the touch of a button.

The application offers several reading modes to suit common operational needs:

• EAN/UPC Capture Mode: Facilitates rapid and continuous scanning of large volumes of EAN or UPC barcodes for inventory addition or management.
• Ordering Mode: Allows scanning an item followed by inputting a specific quantity for reordering or sales purposes.
• Stock Location Mode: Provides two functionalities—scanning individual items alongside their storage locations or batch scanning multiple items within the same location.
• Stocktaking Mode: Streamlines inventory checks by enabling quick barcode scans paired with quantity entries for each item or package. Individual scans can also be annotated to flag issues such as damage.

To support team operation across multiple devices, DataScan permits configuration of capture groups and sections for streamlined management.
